Maprang Bakery & Cafe ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, and how we take care of it.
What we collect
When you place an order, we ask for:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- What you ordered, your pickup date and time, and any cake message
- Any note or allergy information you choose to give us
When you send us a message through the Contact page, we keep your name, email, phone number (if you give one), and your message.
Payments
Online payments are handled by Stripe, a secure payment company. Your full card number is entered on Stripe's page and never reaches us. We only see the card type and its last 4 digits (for example, "Visa ending in 4242") so we can match a payment to your order. You can read Stripe's own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
How we use your information
- To prepare your order and have it ready for pickup
- To send your order confirmation email
- To call or text you if there is a question about your order
- To take care with any allergy you tell us about
- To reply to your messages
- To keep our own business and tax records
We do not sell or rent your information.
Who else sees it
Only our staff and the services that help run this website: Stripe (payments), our email provider (to send your confirmation), and our website host. They only use it to provide those services. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and your browser
Your shopping cart is saved in your own browser, on your device, so it's still there if you leave and come back. We don't use it to track you. The map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies; see Google's privacy policy for details.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for our business and tax records. If you would like us to correct or delete your information, contact us and we'll help, unless we're required to keep it by law.
Children
This website is meant for adults placing orders. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
